Gender Affirming and LGBTQ2S+ Inclusive Training

Focused on trans and gender affirming care, the training I offer is engaging, experiential and tailored to meet identified needs. Language and terminology, potential barriers and impacts, policy and practice and examples of lived experience are introduced and clarified.  I present clear and compassionate opportunities to examine individual and collective perception and bias, reflect upon and respectfully disrupt societally embedded and oppressive gender norms.   Concrete tools, in accordance with best practices are offered to evolve understanding, language, and behaviour to ensure welcoming, inclusive and safer spaces and services for trans, non-binary, gender diverse children, youth and LGBTQ2S+ people of all ages.

I offer consultation, facilitation, training and presentations to service providers in health care, social services, community organizations, school districts, municipal government and local businesses.

Outside my counselling practice, I am an artist and community organizer who is passionate about wilderness, nature, and wildlife. I love ocean swimming, kayaking, hiking, forests, hot baths, art making, gardening, the stars and sometimes doing absolutely nothing at all.
